If your journey begins at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, follow the signs to Jalan ByPass Ngurah Rai. To get to Jalan Raya Uluwatu, use the path to Jalan Uluwatu II. After finishing Jalan Raya Uluwatu, proceed to the winding Jalan Pantai Balangan. When you get close to the ocean’s edge, you’ll notice Balangan Beach on the left.
If you come from Denpasar City, go on straight to Jalan Teuku Umar then to Jalan Imam Bonjol. Then continue the journey to Jalan Sunset Road to Jalan ByPass Ngurah Rai. After arriving at Jalan ByPass Ngurah Rai you can immediately take the route to Jalan Uluwatu II to get to Jalan Raya Uluwatu. Arriving at the end of Jalan Raya Uluwatu, take the route to Jalan Pantai Balangan. And you can find this beach on the left side.
The waves at Balangan Beach are quite big. This beach attracts a large number of world-class surfers. This is due to the fact that this beach features tremendous waves, strong currents, and long and huge waves. Balangan Beach even hosted a world-class surfing tournament.
If you are interested, you can also attempt to surd. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never surfed before because there is a beginner surfing school here. Aside from surfing, this beach is ideal for sunbathing. You can rent a long chair from the inn for IDR 50,000 per day.
