Villa Iseh by WHM is Managed by Waka Hotels & Resorts

Waka Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce that effective 1st November 2018, the heritage Villa Iseh located at Sidemen, Karangasem, Bali has been rebranded as Villa Iseh by WHM and will be managed as a unit of Waka Hotels & Resorts. The historic Villa Iseh, overlooking a verdant valley stretching all the way to the towering Mount Agung, was originally built in 1937 by the German painter Walter Spies. Later it became the residence of another famous painter Theo Meier from Switzerland.

The jaw-dropping front row view of Bali’s sacred Mount Agung rising above a dense green valley’s rice fields and coconut trees has been magically captured for eternity in Walter Spies famous paintings. Even today from Villa Iseh by WHM you will be treated to the same scenery lying undisturbed for centuries.

The present owners of Villa Iseh by WHM have lovingly and painstakingly renovated the Villa to its original Balinese look and feel with vibrant coloured walls. The interiors of the Villa’s spacious bedrooms were restored with turn of the twentieth century period timber furniture, adorned by batik and endek furnishing. The Villa’s complete upgrading and restoration was completed in July 2018 and the facilities consist of:
• 3 air-conditioned Deluxe bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
• Each bathroom features a vanity counter, a Jacuzzi and a shower stall.
• Main swimming pool overlooking the valley with a pool deck for lounging, sun-bathing and dining.
• Massage Bale
• Library and gift shop
